We absolutely loved our experience here! Everything felt elevated, from the inventive dishes to the beautiful, thoughtful plating. The service was also so warm, friendly, and attentive, which made the whole experience even more special. It was one of those meals where every course surprised us in the best way. Definitely a memorable experience and somewhere we’d love to come back to!

This is definitely a special place for special occasions. I've heard it referred to as an omakase, which I guess kind of makes sense, but it really is an amazing planned course tasting menu experience perfectly blending French and Japanese cuisines. When you hear omakase and then read 9-course, with all the 20+ course options in the area, you might get the wrong impression. There is no going home hungry with this one! The show is great if you want to sit right up at the counter, but they also offer table seating if you prefer to have intimate conversations and each course delivered to your table. The food was amazing, probably the most well composed evening of food, I've had. It is fine dining with a very approachable vibe. It's pricey, but if you can, I don't think you'll find a more talented and exacting team delivering an extremely well thought out sensation. Enjoyed an amazing dinner at Kappo Kappo with friends. It is a new Japanese French restaurant in the Proper Hotel. Hearing the chefs talk about their history and the menu added to the experience. The flavor combinations were stunning. The wine and sake pairings were delightful. They easily accommodated gluten-free for my husband and I. I appreciated the gorgeous Japanese ceramics that the meal was served on. I’ve traveled extensively throughout Japan and I’ve eaten at amazing Japanese restaurants throughout the world - I highly recommend Kappo Kappo!!

Kappo Kappo did not disappoint! The smoked bourguignon beef cheek is hands down one of the best bites I’ve had from anyplace I have ever eaten. I would go back simply to try that again. Great atmosphere, cool story. Really enjoyed how personable the chefs were. Would highly recommend for a cool upscale food experience!

This was probably the best meal of my life, if not, definitely still top 5. I highly recommend. It was such a great experience. I came in expecting to leave still a little hungry like most tasting menus but I was quite full. The portion of food they gave was great. It is expensive but definitely worth the cost. The chefs are awesome and have great attention to detail. It was an amazing experience and meal.
